My new work laptop doesn't have a VGA output for video. My previous KVM switch was a dual VGA switch. I share one monitor between my home desktop and work laptop. I don't like a cramped work space so I don't want a dual monitor setup. This KVM switch did the trick. It would be nice if you could opt for cables that don't have mic/speaker plugs on them because I don't need them. The slick black button for switching between sources is really nice and it works perfectly. My home desktop runs Windows 10 and my work laptop runs Windows 7. On Windows 10, the USB wired keyboard and wireless mouse work perfectly. On Windows 7, the keyboard also works perfectly, but the mouse is really sensitive to my laptop's "work load". Once the spinning hard drive (the only one in my house) settles down, the cursor moves fluidly. But whenever I try doing too many things at once, the cursor gets choppy unless I move the wireless Logictech receiver directly into the USB port. I have a wired USB mouse at work I'm thinking of bringing home to resolve this and then just moving my wireless mouse aside when I'm not working. Maybe if my company switches to Windows 10 and solid state hard drives this wouldn't be an issue.
