The 4-ounce paper baking cup is the "standard" size liner that's been around since the beginning of cupcake/muffin time. These liners, though, are anything but standard. I was a little afraid the liner itself would be too tall, and overshadow the look of the cupcake. That wasn't the case at all; they add a lovely touch, but they don't overwhelm the cupcake itself.Beyond that, the silicone coating means the liner easily pulls away from the cake, and creates a nice little square space that makes it easy to catch crumbs (if that's your thing). The silicone also keeps things neat - my first couple batches with these, I had a few dribbles on the tops of the liners. I tried to wipe off a few (which worked really well), but I left a few on as well, just to see what would happen after baking. The dribbles that were baked were super-easy to flick off after they cooled, and the liner still looked awesome. The only drawback is that I ordered white liners because I wanted white liners. Once baked (even in a 325 oven), they take on that slightly tan tint that parchment paper gets in the oven. I kind of expected this, but I guess I was hoping they'd figured out a way to avoid that. Regardless, I think these liners are fantastic value for the money. They look great and perform better.LOVE THEM.
