As far as mechanical endeavors go, this was the triumph of my life. I have a 2009 Tacoma. My quote from an independent shop was $300 for the part (from the dealership) plus $100 for installation. Thought about paying them the $100 to install this, but reading the reviews and watching the youtube video, I decided to stick my neck out & do it myself. It took me 30-45 minutes. The hardest part was figuring out where the push tabs were, pressing them and getting the electrical plugs and old wiper switch out. Nothing ever just popped out even after pushing the right tab. I had to jiggle and pull about everything for a bit. I could have used a 3rd hand. My small flashlight came in handy. I also struggled to get the steering column covers off; it helped when I used the lever to tilt the steering wheel up and down Once all that was done, inserting the new switch was pretty easy (still took me a couple of minutes to figure how to slide it in), re-inserting the electrical plugs very easy, and re-inserting the steering column covers not too hard.New wiper control worked perfectly, including all the intermittent settings. Victory!
