Very Well PleasedBought this pump on July 27, 2021. I wasn't sure if it would be a good buy or not. But the advantage was that I would get it quickly and the price was reasonable. I usually get this kind of home maintenance item at the big builder's supply stores but I decided to take a chance with Amazon. So far it has performed very well. We have had a number of big storms since I purchased it . Some of the storms created small ponds in the back of our property. But our basement remained dry thanks to this pump. I had to cut off an inch and a half of the discharge pipe to fit it properly but I expected this because the profile and design of sump pumps are constantly changing and the one I was replacing was 17 years old. I hope this one lasts as long. So far I am very pleased with it's performance and recommend it.Hi.Got this pump to replace my years old sump pump in the basement. The old pump had the float switch stuck and was running for who knows how long with a dry well and was smoking. My old pump was 1/3 horsepower but I wasn't sure what it was because I couldn't see the label in the well. This pump arrived quickly and I realized it was probably stronger than I needed once I hooked it up. But I left it in and it's been working well so far. I'm sure the 1/3 horsepower pump would have been good enough. I would suggest you check what size pump you have before purchasing the new one. This pump is solidly built and would recommend as a replacement for an older pump. This pump is very powerful and made well. However, I tried to set this up in a 5 gal bucket with a lid and could not get it to work. If the float line is pulled out too far, there's enough slack for it to rise but will hit the lid of the bucket before the float can engage the pump. If the float line is pulled in too far, there is room for the float to rise but it doesn't because the line is too thick and taut for the float to raise. It would be great in any other application.I bought this pump as a replacement to a pump I have running now that broke, the screws holding the bottom plate on rusted out, I was able to replace them with stainless screws why would you put steel screws on a sump pump that's made to be in water all the time? So the first thing I checked on this new pump was the screws holding it together and found them to be Stainless I have not used the pump yet, the other pumps days are numbered so I am prepared with this new pump It looks exactly like the old pump minus the crappy steel screws and hardware. This little pump was way more powerful than I anticipated and it does it’s job really well! My only dislike is the float valve. I’d much prefer a float valve that can’t get caught up on anything.switched out an unreliable sump pump, very happy with the build quality and performance. Fits great in my smallish sump.We used this on our pool cover. The first time I used it didn’t pump immediately but after using it a few times, it seems to be working better. I was surprised that there were no attachments included to attach it to a garden hose. I had to go buy one before it was useable. Its a decent pump, the float switch was not useful for my application as it needs to be straight up vertical before actuating the pumpThe pump and switch use the same wire, it does not have a piggyback style plug like older pumps i have used.I used a vertical mechanical float switch and piggybacked the pump through that.Is a good pump BUT the water level needed to activate the switch is like 1ft 1/2 so it does not quite empty the drain pipe. Is also very noise but the force is very good. Will be my backup pumpExcellente! Aspire très rapidement. On l’entend quand même plus que je ne croyais! Mais vaut mieux l’entendre de temps à autre que d’avoir une suprise durant la nuit! Je recommande pour les petits budgetsGood price compared to local retailers, was a bit noisy compared to the previous pumpI went through three sump pumps from Canadian tire before getting this one and it worked perfectly right out of the box it has been 2 months now and I have zero complaints
