Overall I am happy with this jacket and would purchase it again. I bought a size medium which fits well, I am in good shape with a 42" chest. The Alpinestars Nucleon KR-2i back protector, size medium, fits great. The Alpinestars Mens Nucleon Chest Protectors KR-Ci, size medium/large, will fit but will likely not stay in place without some work.Pros: The jacket is tough and well-made, and has good airflow for a summer jacket. It feels like it would hold up in a slide and the elbow and shoulder pads stay put. Zippers seem good and there is a cool cover at the bottom of the main zipper so you don't scratch your tank. Plus it is a nice looking jacket.Cons: The chest armor pockets are too small and the strip of velcro to close them is too narrow. You can squeeze the Nucleon KR-Ci medium/large mens chest protectors in, and they might stay put for a while, but eventually they will fall out and be at the bottom of your jacket. This is especially true if you wear a backpack while you ride, as the straps of the backpack tend to force the armor out of the pockets. One solution would be to cut down the chest protectors a little to make them fit the pockets better. That might work even with the cheesy velcro closures. I opted to sew the pockets closed so the little strips of velcro would not pop open and let the armor fall out. Since doing that they have stayed put, even riding with a backpack. The other improvement I would make is to use zippers instead of velcro at the cuffs. The velcro is bulky and gets caught on things and opens up the cuff - again for example while putting on a backpack. Zippers would make the cuffs smoother and less prone to catching.Again, I like the jacket and I wear it a lot when it is warm. I give it 4 stars out of 5 - it would be a 5 with the changes mentioned above. Even with it's flaws, I feel like it is worth the money.it fits well and adequately padded for protection.This is my "go-to" summer riding jacket. I use it when the temperatures are north of 80 degrees. Air flow is excellent and the shoulder/elbow armor is reassuring. Will purchase the back armor to augment the protection.Alpinestar quality product.Do yourself a favor, buy this jacket if you ride a motorcycle. no exception, it could save your life.Quite a heavy jacket, the air flows through the body nice but the arms are still a little warm.CE certifed shoulders and elbows armor, chest and back you need to buy them. Haven’t tried it on the road yet but i love the jacket it has alot of features. Good seller came early well packaged. I used the size chart.I purchased this jacket to be delivered on 7/10 in time for a trip leaving 7/11 in the late afternoon. The jacket arrived Wednesday the 13th. Needless to say, that did me no good and I had to buy a jacket locally that wasn't exactly what I wanted.Got home this morning and was able try it on and examine the construction. It's Alpinestars quality but the design is questionable. The fit for me was fine in a XXL as I'm 6'3 and 220lbs with a 46" chest and 38" waist.The jacket has a double mesh liner which makes it rugged but the left inside pocket blocks virtually 75% of any airflow to the left side chest. The double mesh just didn't allow much airflow. How do I know this? I have a 3' shop fan that I stood a few feet from (on high setting) and other than the arms, felt minimal airflow. Lastly, the color is not an olive green as stated but more yellow tinted and looked closer to a golden yellow than green.I expected more from Alpinestars as they make great jackets. This one is about 3.5 stars. Not what I would want on a hot day riding in Texas heat.Warm weather riding done in comfort. Used as a commuter jacket. Mesh flows fantastic air and fit is true to size. I’m built little large around the mid section but the medium fits great. Even the arms seems to not scrunch up much. Have not take a spill in the jacket, but armor feels great and stays in place when riding. Mine was purchased at Honda Yamaha in Brooklyn NY last year along with my motorcycle. . Love the Velcro at the wrists. No haggling with zippers that slowly open over time. Just remember it’s mesh, so no water protection. It does have a water proof chest pocket that zips shit so if you want to carry your phone or something, that’s the way to go.Must buy product .Awesome product. Value for money.....?身長172センチ70キロ普通体型Sサイズで肩幅、袖の長さジャストでした、それでもピッタリタイトと言うほどではなく、動きやすいジャストサイズです、個人差はあるかと思いますが、私くらいの体型でしたらSサイズがおすすめです、作りは申し分なく着用していて不満点はないですが、オプションの脊髄、胸部パットは交換した方が安心感は格段に向上するかと思います、参考になれば幸いです。身長172体重70、問題はウエストですが85～90程のメタボ体型でもＭサイズで丁度いい感じです。アルパインスターズは初めての購入でサイズ決めに非常に悩みました。数少ないクチコミ等調べまくってコミネのＬがピッタリの自分ならアルパインスターズはＭだろうと判断、加えてこのメーカー製品の中ではゆったり目の作りと知りウエストヤバそうでしたが一か八か購入に踏み切りました。結果非常に満足しています。メッシュのエアフローも申し分なく背中肩口のシャーリングが効いていて前傾でも窮屈感はありません。アルパインスターズのデザインが好きだけどオッサンの自分はカラーリング控えめでとお考えの方に参考になればと思います。１７８ｃｍ、８０ｋｇで丁度よかったです。（着丈、肩周り）袖が少し長いですが、バイクにまたがり手をハンドルに伸ばすと丁度よくなるように作られていました。プロテクターが肘、肩、胸、背中に入っているのでチョット重いですが仕方ないですね。メッシュの部分は風がよく通ります。質感も高いし、デザインも良いので買ってよかったです。
