My rural property has increasingly found invasive plants constricting perimeter of lawn area. Rental of a brush hog was not economically justified and I no longer have the stamina for prolonged use of conventional lopper. So I purchased the extended version of the pneumatic lopper. The shear and handle housings are plastic, and I have not found this to be a problem. The mechanism will only cut branches of less than about 3/8” diameter which is not a deal breaker for me (as the invasives largely have the biomass of tumbleweed). No instructions were provided. I take the precaution of providing a few drops of pneumatic nailer oil to the air connection point before use, and I do not think it would work long without a little lubrication. So far, it is working well for me. I am relying on an electrical air compressor, but I would like to try it using a tank of carbon dioxide at the more remote reaches of the property.
