This has not only an attractive design; it is easy to use as well. Be sure to open it up and remove the plastic wrap surrounding the filter. It is powered through the popular USB-C, and according to the included power block, it runs on only 1A (about 5 watts). I tried it on other blocks and even a USB hub attached to a wall clock, and all worked fine. That means it could look good on a desk or table, powered through a computer USB port, or pretty much anything with USB-C.I used the included power block for testing purposes, and that was well over a week ago. A few drops of essential oil can last hours with this. I tried a couple of varieties and was impressed with the results. It has three fan settings; I usually left it on high, as even at that speed it is not loud.Pros:*Easy to use*Energy efficient*Everything needed to get started is included.*AttractiveCons:*Non-washable filterApparently, the filter's lifespan is specified at 1500 hours. They are easy to find and don't cost a lot. Super easy to replace too; there's a locking mechanism on the bottom. It feels fairly sturdy and may take two hands to turn. Though it's only been running for around a couple of weeks, or ~336 hours in my product, I did take it out for cleaning. This was mostly for the sake of testing purposes (and for finishing up this review). I cleaned it with a tissue, rubbing along the fins as one might do with some filters found in shop vacs and other finned-filter devices. One tissue paper easily sufficed. I hate to compare it to a shop vac, as this is a super quiet, elegant product.Mine's been on 24/7, with a few drops of essential oils of varying types along the way. There is an easily removable screen for essential oils; it simply twists out and in. I did notice there is a small pool for collecting the oil underneath, and it can build up. Perhaps a cotton ball with a few drips placed on the screen would prevent oil buildup (it was not a lot of oil). There is a light that apparently changes to red, indicating a filter change. One thing not in the product description: I noticed the fan activates quickly and comes right up to speed, even on low. To me, that is a sign of quality. Everything from the housing to the filter itself, to me, is a sign of good design. This could make a nice little, fairly easy-to-use gift. Parental discretion advised for the use of essential oils, especially the types with no droppers. 5 stars for this all day
