Since it’s an OEM VW part, it was a perfect fit. Not too hard to remove the steering wheel if you watch the Humble Mechanic’s how-to vid online, and you don’t need to buy the airbag tool either - the trick he demonstrated made it super simple. My only complaint is this like-for-like part no longer turns off the radio when I remove the key from the ignition. Aside from manually turning the radio on and off numerous times per day, I am enjoying that my wipers, turn signals, cabin fan, and headlights all work again.
