I am running 4 of these. 3 connected via multi mode fibre and 1 connected via Cat6A. These give me a kind of star topology with my Unifi Stack being the Centre of the star. These QNAP QSW-308-1C give me a 10Gbe run from my stack to each of these switches, I use 1 of the 10Gbe SPF+ ports for my Qnap NAS on one switch. 3 of these switches are used for streaming media. My media boxes can only use the 1G ports so that works out nicely. These switches have no fan and can be easily hidden behind furniture without overheating. I use various commonly available 10Gbe SPGF+ transceivers with no compatibility issues. These are unmanaged switches which is fine and when I use my Ubiquiti Controler/s they are transparent and do not show up in the topology. These are relatively cheap and fill the notch that I need them for.
