After a mechanic replaced the Air Valve the car was still throwing code for Leaking Secondary Air Valve P2440 even though everything now seemed to function properly. Found out the computer measures the air pressure in the line and if its too low shows this code. The after market air pump which was not too old couldn't deliver enough pressure. This new ACdelco pump worked great and bolted in with no problem. I had to find the part number for this on a GM look-up site as it wasn't easy to find the right application for this car through AMAZON.
