It says in the product description that it has a thumb hole Wood stock. The photo is not that clear and it's very hard to say whether it's wood or synthetic. But it does say wood and that is why I ordered it because I wanted that gun in the picture with the Wood stock. I got the gun with the thumb hole stock, but it wasn't made out of wood it was synthetic. This is a total bummer because I wanted to add this to my collection and the unique feature was going to be at Woodstock in that shape. All in all it's an okay gun for a springer in $100 bracket. But it's not as advertised and it's not what I wanted so I'm bummed. And of course I'm not going to send it back because that's just even more frustration. I'll just keep it and use it for whatever. On my particular model however after about maybe 30 shots or so the lever that connects the charging handle to the trigger section which actuates the automatic safety, came apart on the charging end. The connecting fastener was not supposed to move it was Center punched on the other side to flare it. But the flare wasn't enough I guess I could have redone it and threadlocker or whatever. But I decided to just remove the rod being that without it the safety still works it's just not automatic you have to engage it manually. Which is very easy for it is light the good thing is I don't have that linkage BS in the way that was bound to fail again no biggie we just went from automatic safety to manual safety a lot of big barrels have manual safeties. No the gun is okay it's just not what I expected. Update 12\23. A fact That the rifle was miss Miss represented It's not the rifles Fault that's just the seller Making a mistake or whatever. This is about the rifle. Now that I have owned it for a while.1 thing I can say that's good about this rifle is that it shoots really good. You can do long shots with this rifle. Even Without the scope. I guess it's supposed to be Cheaper more Basic version of the longhorn. Both are excellent guns
