I purchased this to run my outdoor POE Ethernet cameras. I didn't want to run separate wires for each one. I needed an industrial switch that could withstand the elements. This one has been in service for three years. I think I needed to pull power once to reset it in that time. It sits in our garage and has seen a wide range of Colorado summer and winter temperatures. It is not exposed to moisture, but does get a little dusty.This thing is very expensive and doesn't even come with a power supply. You can purchase a $100 wall wort or run power to it. I went the expensive wall wort path. The power adapter has a unique connector.So far, it has been virtually trouble free. Exposed to the wide range of temperatures and kept on performing as advertised. Recommended if you need a POE Ethernet switch that is built like a battleship and have spare cash. Don't forget the $100.00 power adapter!
