My 22 months boy broke his Tibia. After 3 weeks on a cast the Orthopedist gave us a giant orthopedic boot, which was definitely oversized. The poor thing was dragging his leg and probably doing extra harm. We thought there is got to be a better way. We asked a second opinion and this doctor immediately said he needed a boot appropriate to his size. We picked up The Wee Walker in Size S at our local medical supply and what a difference! The design of the Wee Walker is super light and compact while properly immobilizing the leg. He literally can almost run with this boot. Obviously, it is not as cheap as the all plastic ones, but like everything you get what you pay for and after all we want him to heal properly and not have any unintended consequences. Not only the boot is great but, I noticed the sole got a bit unglued because my boy is very rough on things. Well I call them and a US based Customer Care rep instantly arranged to send me a replacement boot and arranged a Fedex pick-up to retrieve the old boot.
