This product is working great so far. We painted it to blend in with outside porch color. We ordered the remote control option with the idea that we could control the on/off/speed using the remote with everything wired into the attic space above. No can do. The remote will not work through the ceiling or through a wall, so we added a pull cord to the side for on/off. If we do need to adjust speed, a step stool is needed.
