The original multi-switch on my 2000 Ford Explorer was going bad and the windshield wipers would randomly activate on its own. I read that the switch could be cleaned inside to remove gunk and corrosion from the interior copper contacts, but some said it resulted I. The switch no longer working.I ordered this instead, and my problems seem to have been resolved. The turn signals, hazard switch, wipers, and wiper fluid activations all work and the wipers are no longer activating on their own.
