I've owned these adjustable dumbbells (You have to buy 2 btw) for around 2 months and they have served well up until this point. It was sometimes a hassle to adjust the weight when setting them down, and the grip isn't the best but manageable. The overall quality of the dumbbells seemed good for its price point and sturdy too. It does get a bit painful when setting the dumbbells on your thigh as there is a small surface area at the end of each dumbbells. Overall a pretty nice experience for the price.Unfortunately after doing 40lb chest presses, the grip shifted to one side which forced me to drop the dumbbells onto the floor, which also had a workout mat on top. One of the dumbbells survived the ordeal but it cannot be said with the other one. The plastic broke as you can see in the picture, which didn't allow me to adjust the dumbbell settings that require that weight, which the plastic was supporting. To any future buyers, please do not drop these dumbbells. Place them down nicely. These were my first set of adjustable dumbbells and I hope this can be repairable. Please treat the dumbbells with care and make sure you are not in a position where the dumbbell (and yourself) can be jeopardized. Do not make the same mistake as I did.In conclusion, these dumbbells are great for workout out, just be mindful about the placement of the dumbbells. If your habit is to drop heavy dumbbells after a workout, considering other more structural options or fixed weighted dumbbells. If you plan to buy this, consider buying chalk and a workout mat.Edit: I contacted customer service and they were great at solving the issue. I got a replacement after providing some evidence. I also realized that the dumbbell may have broken due to some bad luck. I have been dropping the dumbbells at similar heights (even if I didn't want to), and had no issues since.
