This 8 port HDMI switcher works well, great for connecting multiple devices to a AVR or TV. Supports 4:2:2 4K HDR, tested with a PlayStation 4 and 5.Switching between inputs is solid and quick. Front panel of unit is easy to use.IR reception is good and works well with a Harmony remote. However, you'll need to use model HSW0801A10 for the Harmony as this current model has not been added to their database.Remote is servicable, very basic with many "generic" buttons.Manual is minimal, not all the functions are well documented. LAN works, but is hard coded to 192.168.1.10,but it can be changed via the application on Tesmart's website or via RS-232. The IP protcol is pretty simplistic, uses a TCP socket on port 5000 to communicate and is documented. Output of command is pure text so it can be prased easily if you plan on custom integration. The switch has auto input detection, but for most home users, you'll likely want to turn this off if you use a Harmony Remote - you can do this via the LAN application or my pressing the M button on the remote (I dont' think this is documented). There is also a loud buzzer when you switch inputs, but this can be disabled. The front panel LED is very bright, thankfully can a timeout can be configured via the LAN applicatoin - I don't think it can be done via the remote or front panel.Build quality is good, solid chassis.Seller on Amazon is also very responsive with questions.Overall a good HDMI switch, meets my needs, documentation and minor details a bit rough, but for the price I paid it is more than fair.So far happy, will update review if any issues crop up.UPDATE: 2 years later, unit is still working fine and reliably switching my game consoles.
