Easy install on my 2014 base model. Prime purchased in case a return was necessary, but it wasn't. Install took about 15 min. tops. This is literally plug-and-play, folks. Worthwhile mods like this generally aren't this easy and straightforward. But this one is a win.Pay no attention to the warning "! This does not fit your: (2014) Toyota Tacoma". It does in fact fit and function perfectly.Here's the install in a nutshell:Turn steering wheel to expose the 2 front-facing screws. You'll have to turn the wheel both directions from center to expose both screws. Once the screws are removed, separate the 2 halves of the steering column cover using a plastic trim tool or equivelant. It should pop apart pretty easily. You may have to raise/lower the steering wheel to make it easier to get both the upper & lower cover pieces off. Take your time & be patient with it. Once those are out of the way, there is a single front-facing retainer tab in the center of the switch (see pic). Carefully pry this apart (I used a small screwdriver to help). Pull the switch outward (to the right) gently when working with this center retaining tab. The switch will slide out easily. Now disconnect the 2 electrical connectors (again, a front-facing retainer tab on each). Reinstall new switch in reverse order.
