Due to abysmal customer service, I discourage anyone from purchasing these pricey gloves from Hestra. If interested in learning about my experience, please continue reading; I have several problems with Hestra to share. Since 2019 these heated gloves have allowed me to enjoy and spend more time skiing than I could have otherwise. I have Raynaud’s disease, so they are a necessity. I ski approximately 30 days a year. This month, both gloves suddenly stopped working. The lights were lit, but no heat was produced. On 1/3/25 I sent Hestra an email asking for guidance. I immediately received confirmation the email was received with the promise to reply ASAP. In the meantime, I ordered new batteries direct from Hestra thinking that would correct their function. Problem #1: Gloves did not arrive with the 2-day shipping promised. Miraculously, I reached a rep on the phone who discovered the order had not been sent to the warehouse. She put me on hold to further investigate; after about 10 minutes on hold the call dropped. I was unable to reach anyone again, but an email appeared with new arrival information for the batteries. The new batteries did not cause the gloves to heat. Problem #2: I never received another email response from Hestra. To determine whether the problem was batteries or gloves, I ordered new gloves from Amazon. Not only did they work, but my old original batteries also made them heat. Having determined the problem was with my original gloves which have provided less than 180 ski sessions of use, I called Hestra on the 14th but was only able to leave a voice mail requesting a call back. Problem #3: I never received a call back. Later on the 14th I responded to Hestra's auto reply email that acknowledged receipt of my original email and said I had not been contacted but still needed assistance. Problem #4: I never received a response. It is now the 22nd and I have left another voice mail. I have since found reviews from others who have suffered the same lack of customer care. For what it's worth, a quick internet search reveals that Hestra is no longer considered one of the better heated gloves, though they remain the most expensive. Save yourself frustration and look at your other options.
