This is not a cheap item whether you consider cost or build quality. But this is a case of you get what you pay for. To the best of my knowledge Jet is a Japanese manufacturer. However, this particular item is made in China. I understand the concept of globalization, but I was concerned about diminished quality of construction.As soon as it arrived I put it to the test by jacking up my tractor and leaving it overnight to see if the hydraulics would slip over night. It passed with flying colors. My next functional test was for rotating tires. I have a Wildfire drive-on-lift with an air/hydraulic lift for one axle. I used this lift to raise the other axle. It did so with ease.My only recommendation is that the manual jack handle come with a rubber handle and end cap. However, this is easily remedied.
