I have no clue how this item has the reviews it has. This is a 200A Transfer switch. The metal body is made out of 18awg pot metal and not 14awg steel. It has perforated knockouts so flimsy you can remove them with your fingers. (Code violation you will have to install a 1-1/2" knockout plug for each unused knockout). The knockouts are also 1/2" to 1-1/2". The minimum size pipe you can use internationally is 2". This due to the size of the wire. At 1-1/2 in you would need at minimum 2 knockouts per size to allow for feed in and line out. There is only 1 per side. To put sprinkles on the cake, the provided knockouts are also offset 2" back to front. This means if you mount this box beside the service meter where transfer should take place, the pipe will not line up with the knockouts on the meterbase. Its off 2in. Lasty, the handle for the switch is a 1/2" injection molded plastic dowel. Being transfer switches usually sit outside in the weather, 2-3 years and its dry rotten.Do yourself a favor. Buy a different switch and not waste 2 hours of your life validating my claims.
