At the time I purchased this there weren't many reviews. The price was somewhat high but I decided to take a chance. If you're in the same position I was, rest more assured. While I still think the price was a tad steep (I wouldn't have thought twice about gambling $50 on it), this unit is exceptionally well-made. Solid construction, clean edges, and quality finish/coating.My Switch8 fit perfectly in one of the slots that was pre-knocked-out once I removed the rubber feet (per directions, but I also thought it was obvious). The second slot requires you to punch out the metal tab if you want to use it. I didn't have a need for using both slots so I didn't bother and can't speak to how easy it is to punch out or how well the edges clean up. Once screwed in (you use the screw on the back of the switch/es) the appliance is snug/secure. Cooling is a non-issue since the appliance's ventilation is essentially unobstructed.The screw used to secure the appliance should be obvious based on where the machined holes are in the mounting plate. That screw is typically used for "extra grounding" and has a little metal tab and toothed washer screwed in (comes like that from Ubiquiti). I stored that tab and the washer in a clear plastic bag but if I needed the extra grounding it would still be possible using this rack.Note that the appliance will stick out very slightly (~15mm) when mounted.
