This is a feature rich integrated octo. Yet its size and weight is hardly much larger than a simple power inflator. Its breathing ability is adequate for a safe accent although not as good as other integrated octos that rival mainstream primary second stages. The layout of the controls is not as instinctual as others this may be due to the need to fit a third button for the subduck. I have used this and here is the deal. I am a Scuba Instructor and the guy that left the review about how terrible this is without even trying it should most likely quit being a instructor if he doesnt know what buttons to push and for a Instructor to call the Alternate Air Source a Backup Regulator is insane. This is the same guy that grabs his flippers goggles and jumps in with his oxygen. Now back to my honest review. The alternate air source feature like the typical Air 2 is straight garbage. It’s nearly impossible to breathe out of it. The noise maker works great the inflate and deflate work great just the most important thing in my opinion to eliminate the “octo” doesn't work as needed. My opinion is get a regular air 2 and hook up one of the air noisemakers to it.
