I use devices like this to send video to remote screens from CCTV NVR's, along with a USB mouse at the other end for control.I bought this item to replace a cheaper HDMI over Cat5 sender/receiver which had worked fine until I decided to move the sender much further away, the video had been fine but the mouse no longer worked. So, I bought this and over 90M of mainly cat6 but some cat5e the video is perfect and the mouse works just fine. Provided with a UK power supply for both ends and a USB A-B cable for the sender (I have always been a tad dubious about the non standard A-A cable supplied with other similar units, and I'm no fan of UK-Euro mains adapters). Time will tell on reliability but I'd definately reccomend this product!Edit 08-12-2020It gets better, unlike many similar devices that send point to point over copper twisted pair cable, this unit actually sends data over IP so it can be used with switches and run over existing LAN architecture. Beware, you'll need to have quite high end hardware (managed switch) and expert knowledge to put this kit on its own VLAN otherwise it will create a broadcast storm and cripple your network!Whilst the seller does not currently sell extra receivers individually I have bought another kit and just using the receiver (and a bit of VLAN magic) I am able to receive video and control the remote device simultaneously from 2 separate locations. Hey presto, complete control of my CCTV NAS from the lounge and the office in the loft.
