We have another Kelty camp mattress made from the same material, which has held up AMAZING and never leaked. The material they use is a bit more slippy than a regular air mattress, but so much tougher! They only reason we had to replace it is the old one came with a special pump that had to be hooked to the mattress, so the mattress couldn't use a standard pump, and the pump stopped working. We've found we can inflate t with out shop vac, but that obviously doesn't work for camping. Long story short, the similar old mattress is still great other than the broken pump, so it's still used at home! This one has a few improvements that make me like it even more! The first is that even though it comes with a pump, it's made so I can use a regular hand pump to inflate it. It's no longer limited in it's life to the life of the pump. I do wish this pump were rechargeable instead of taking 4 D batteries, but I'll likely just get rechargeable Ds, or use a hand pump. I've only tested this at home so far, but it also seems a bit more comfortable. I really like the little bump at one end as a pillow. It's not much, but if you want more pillow, it also helps save your pillow from falling off the end of the mattress! I'm always forgetting my pillow when camping, so I really like this feature. Only thing I like less on this mattress is the carry case. The old one came with a nice, sturdy zipper case that easily fit the mattress. This has a draw string carry bag that, though tough, will eventually wear out. I do appreciate that it's generous sized, so it's not a struggle to put it back away.I expect I'll continue to love this even more than my old kelty mattress, which has years of use! If I run into any problems in actual use camping, I'll update the review. As it stands, I'm considering getting a single size for my kid now that he's getting big enough to have his own camp bed!
